Last year during the 2020 Summer Olympics, Biles was in the headlines for her decision of withdrawing from the competition. She blamed mental pressure and that her mind and body were not in sync. Biles gave a statement about withdrawing and said, “This Olympic Games, I wanted it to be for myself. But I was still doing it for other people. It h**ts my heart that doing what I love has been kind of taken away from me to please other people.”

It really humanized us.”
