The Free Britney movement has contributed energy, colour, and a shared sense of a**er to the cause for the past two and a half years, as they pushed for their idol to be liberated from her conservatorship. Megan flew from Chicago to Los Angeles in the hopes of getting the conservatorship lifted. She remarked that she really enjoyed it, and that it has been a long time, and now she is finally free to live her life. She adds that it was imperative that she was present for the hearing.
Fans marched down the palm tree-lined boulevard outside the Stanley Mosk courtroom throughout the morning, signs held high, as anticipation for the acute hearing grew. “Why isn’t she the ring leader if it’s her circus?” On one, it was written. “This is a human rights problem; Britney should be released now!” said another. Four ladies dressed in classic attire from some of Spears’ most popular music videos did a dance routine on a stage set up for the event.

The most ardent supporters have become specialists in the intricacies of the conservatorship system, which is an extreme legal contract for those considered incapable of making choices for themselves, generally those who have dementia or other mental illne**es.
Judge Brenda Penny judged that this no longer pertained to Britney Spears in less than 45 minutes. Journalists and members of the public were crammed into the courtroom’s rows. The court bailiffs yelled, “No phones, no electronic devices!” after recordings of earlier sessions were released online. Mathew Rosengart, Spears’ attorney, was requested to present his case first.
He stated, “Ms Spears thinks the time has arrived to end this conservatorship.” He recited passages from her prior testimony, in which she said, she just wants her freedom back. John Zabel, her interim conservator, has just a few administrative rights left, such as transferring her power of attorney to her trust.
Outside of court, Mr Rosengart stated that the tale was far from over, telling Sky News that Spears would now have to choose whether or not to follow her father Jamie through the courts. Jamie Spears, who served as conservator for his daughter’s assets and private affairs for 13 years, claims to have always had her best interests at heart.
On the other hand, Spears claims he misused his authority and demands all financial records for the whole contentious period of the conservatorship. Spears’ choice to end the conservatorship is a life-changing one. She may return to the stage after the dust has settled, but this time on her terms.
